Sayadieh roughly translates to ‘the angler’. Historically enjoyed by fisherman along the Lebanese coast featuring their catch of the day, though it’s now a traditional dish across the Middle East.

Caramelized Onions Take Time!

While testing this recipe I found the majority of recipes claiming you only need about 15-20 minutes to caramelize the onions into a deep, golden-brown color. This is just not compatible with reality at all.
